CPAP Machines

CPAP machine is the recommended form of treatment for those individuals who suffer from obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). It is also useful for individuals who have tried all other treatments for their snoring but without success.

A variety of fixed pressure and automatic CPAP machines are available from us.

Buy cpap machine we stock are all quiet in operation. The sound levels range from 26 db to 30 db. This is less than the ambient sound level of an average bedroom at night. Therefore, the CPAPs are inaudible in the average bedroom.

A supporting letter from your doctor is required before we can supply any CPAP unit. CPAP units are priced excluding VAT. Exemption can apply in most cases.

Automatic
Automatic CPAP machines will adjust the pressure for you through the night. There are many benefits of an automatic machine. It senses snoring sounds, hypopnoeas and apnoeas, and increases the pressure to counteract them. When the ideal pressure has been reached, it will be maintained for a while. Then the pressure will slowly reduce until the unit senses an event that will require an increase in pressure again. This way, the unit delivers just the right amount of pressure all the time.

Fixed Pressure
Unlike automatic machines, fixed pressure machines do not respond to events but simply blow air at the prescribed pressure to which they have been set.

Humidifier
A humidifier adds warmth and moisture to the air and reduces patient dryness in the nose and throat. By improving comfort, it helps promote patient compliance with CPAP treatment. Not all makes of CPAP have heated humidifiers in their range.

Battery Use
With an optional DC power adaptor, you can use any of our CPAPs from a cigar lighter socket in a car, caravan or boat. With a portable lithium ion battery pack, all CPAP machines we stock can be used on an aeroplane or when out and about. (The humidifier, if fitted, must be switched off).
